New Way Slavic Baptist Church is a Russian speaking congregation located near Baltimore, MD. What started as a small community of Russian speaking followers of Christ, turned into a church comprised of various ethnic groups in one body of Christ.
Even though the services are mainly in Russian, we accommodate English speaking visitors with simultaneous translation of services. We have visitors from numerous Eastern European, Central Asian and Caucasian regions to include Ukraine, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and other countries.
Pastor Vecheslav Palij was born in Ukraine during the time of the Soviet Union and heavy persecution of Christians. Although Christianity was outlawed pastor Palij was brought up in a God fearing home where his parents told him about God and His power.
Power of God turned out to be more powerful than the Communist Regime which collapsed in 1991. Eventually pastor Palij and his family moved to the United States.
Vecheslav graduated from a medical college, but soon felt a calling to serve God. He organized a small community of Slavic believers in northern Baltimore. This community gradually grew to include multiple nations and ethnicities of people serving God. Thus New Way Slavic Baptist Church was born and became a House of Prayer for All Nations (Isaiah 56).
